Very popular in Japan, Hojicha is traditionally a green tea whose leaves have been roasted for a few minutes, transforming the typical vegetal notes of Japanese green teas into toasted, woody and nutty notes.

Although excellent drunk in the form of hot tea in a teapot, it is the latte version of this beverage that is currently experiencing a gain in popularity. A Hojicha powder is then used rather than leaves and the preparation is similar to that of a Matcha latte.

A perfectly enveloping tea in rainy weather. Try it with a touch of cinnamon or cocoa powder!

Infusion: 1 tbsp. / 75°C / 100 ml

  • Whisk around 1.5 g (1 tsp) powder in 50ml hot water (approx. 95°C ).
  • Add 300ml hot milk (vegetable or animal).
  • Sweeten to taste.

Add hot water and whisk vigorously until a fine foam is obtained
